		The Way I Spent the End of the World. (Romania, 106 min.) Bucharest 1989â€”last year of Ceausescuâ€™s dictatorship. Eva, 17, lives with her parents and her seven-year-old brother Lalalilu. One day at school, Eva and her boyfriend accidentally break a bust of Ceausescu. They are forced to confess their crime before a disciplinary committee. Eva is expelled from school and transferred to a reformatory establishment. There she meets Andrei and decides to escape Romania with him. Lalalilu is more and more convinced that Ceausescu is the main reason for Evaâ€™s decision to leave. So, with his friends from school, he devises a plan to kill the dictator

		Painting Demonstration with Susan Tilton Pecora

		Artist Susan Tilton Pecora, hostess of WGBY's Reflections Through Watercolor will paint a Wilbraham scene. This program is funded by the Wilbraham Cultural Council and the Wilbraham Friends of the Library, Inc. Ms. Pecora's painting will be used by the library as a future fundraiser. Admission is free for FOL members and students. The charge to the general public is $3.00

		The library welcomes back Michael Tougias to present his slideshow which chronicles the dramatic true account of the crews of the fishing vessels Fair Wind and Sea Fever, who in 1980 were caught by a deadly Cape Cod storm that resulted in a tenacious three-day struggle for survival. 		David Hyde Costello is the popular author and illustrator of "Here They Come!", a story about two young monsters at their first Halloween party. His background in theater contributes to this unique one-man show. Mr. Costello opens with an original song, accompanied on a ukelele, gives a spirited reading and then draws a new monster on the spot. He also answers kids' questions in the Hobgoblin language. Registration begins on October 16th. Children must be at least 4 years of age.
