How is this being paid for?
Funds are coming from several sources: Library Improvements for Tomorrow,
Inc. (LIFT), the Town of Wilbraham, Library State Aid, and grants. The
overall cost to complete renovations is estimated at $800,000.
LIFT is conducting private fundraising for renovations and needs to raise
$400,000 to complete all four phases. LIFT, grants and State Aid are
funding improvements to service delivery while the Town of Wilbraham
Capital Improvements Project budget is providing funds to support
infrastructure and health and safety remodeling. To date the town has
funded items such as window replacements, HVAC upgrades, emergency and
exit lighting, and automatic door openers as part of their ongoing
five-year plan for town building remodeling projects.
How can I help?
You can help by making a donation to Library Improvements for Tomorrow
(LIFT, Inc.), and dropping it off or mailing to the library.
LIFT is
charitable support organization formed to fundraise for library building
improvements, and contributions are tax deductible. LIFT is managed by
the Library Board of Trustees.
