Great Decisions Discussion Group

Great Decisions groups meet across the country to discuss foreign policy on a variety of topics. In 2021, the Wilbraham Public Library group will meet virtually on Wednesdays in February and March, from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m.  Registration on the library's website will be necessary in order to receive the Zoom link.  (Registration is open up until the first meeting, which begins on Wednesday, February 3rd.)

Each year, the Foreign Policy Association publishes a briefing book that participants can purchase and read ahead of the meetings to be informed about the topics.  Due to Covid restrictions, the library is not able to place a group order this year to buy the books at a discount.  Instead, individuals are encouraged to order their own book online via the website.  The cost to purchase a book is $32.

2021 Topics:

  • The Role of International Organizations in a Global Pandemic
  • Global Supply Chains and National Security
  • China and Africa
  • Korean Peninsula
  • Persian Gulf Security
  • Brexit and the European Union
  • The Fight Over the Melting Arctic
  • The End of Globalization?

Visit the Great Decisions website for more information and to order the briefing book.  Participants are also welcome to call the library with any questions.
