Teens of the Wilbraham Library
T.O.W.L. (Teens Of the Wilbraham Library) invites all students in 6th through 8th grade to join in our activities.

October 27, Saturday 10:30 am-12:30: Halloween Party (we'll host this for little kids)
November 13, Tuesday 4-5 pm: meeting. Prepare for Murder Mystery Dinner
November 16, Friday 5-7:30 pm: Murder Mystery Dinner: Rock n' Roll Over Dead.
November 27, Tuesday 4-5 pm: make a "special thank you surprise" for Locks of Love participants.
December 11, Tuesday 4-5 pm: Our Holiday Party. We will be: making cards for shut-ins, and sending e-mails to our troops overseas through Operation Dear Abby; including my niece! Bring a wrapped small gift($5.00 limit) for our Yankee Swap. Mrs. Kent will provide festive food and beverage. Feel free to add your festive snacks or dessert.
January 8, Tuesday 4-5 pm: meeting . Plans, prep. and publicity for our WPL Teen Read-a-thon.
January 22, Tuesday 4-5 pm: meeting. Last details and preparation for our WPL Teen Read-a-thon.
January 26, Saturday 5 pm-Sunday 10 am: WPL Teen Read-a-thon! This will be an all-night event and the only fundraiser for our group. We'll have dinner and snacks and breakfast included. If you cannot attend, you can have a virtual Read-a-thon at your house, by yourself, or with a group of friends!
February 12, Tuesday 4-5 pm: Prepare for Project Linus.
February 20, 21, Wednesday and Thursday 4-6 pm: National Project Linus. The project is to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer "blanketeers." We'll make easy no-sew fleece blankets. Google the website to learn more.
February 26, Tuesday 4-5 pm: meeting
March 11 Tuesday 4-5 pm: National Teen Tech Week! I have an idea for a fun program involving cameras and song lyrics. Shall we find a date for this, maybe in the end of March?
March 25, Tuesday 4-5 pm: meeting

April 29, Tuesday 4-5 pm: Last minute details and prep. for Curious George Party.
May 3, Saturday 10:30 am-12:30: Teens host a Curious George Party for little kids. (other book characters?)
May 13, Tuesday 4-5 pm: Make games, decorations, start-up kits for 2008 Summer Reading Program: Wild Reads! I'm sure you all will have some suggestions for programs and decorations!
May 27, Tuesday 4-5 pm: More Summer Reading prep. Also recommendations for 6th-8th graders for books to read—what are some of your favorites?
June 10, Tuesday 4-5 pm: Last meeting. We go to the Village Store for ice cream!
