WPL Teen Advisory Board

The WPL’s Teen Advisory Board is a group of teens in grades 9-12 who meet once a month to plan programs at the library; to talk about their favorite books, movies, music, etc.; to offer opinions and advice to the library and to each other; and – last but not least – to hang out and eat snacks.

 Why join the TAB?

  • Plan fun programs & activities at the WPL around your own interests
  • Share your opinions about books, movies, CDs, and magazines for the library
  • Get to read advanced copies of books and share your opinions on them
  • Get involved in activities like art shows, gaming, making movies, karaoke, book club, and more
  • Help redesign the Teens area of the library – we are moving the Teens section upstairs and creating a totally new space!
  • Help redesign the Teens area of the website
  • Don’t pay fines on overdue items (except videos/DVDs and iPods)
  • Get volunteer/community service credit
  • Meet new friends
  • Free food, of course
  • Looks good on a college application!
