Summer Reading Challenge 2023
Read for Fun & Prizes! Sign-Ups for Kids, Teens & Adults Start June 1. Program runs from June 17 to Aug. 12.
Sign up for this year's Summer Reading Challenge beginning June 1 for the chance to win valuable prizes.
We have three categories -- children (grades K-5), teens (grades 6-12) and adults -- each with rules specific to that age group. However, all successful participants are eligible for raffle prizes and, in some instances, a free paperback book.
This year's theme is "Find Your Voice."
The Summer Reading Challenge ends Aug. 12.
It's easy to join. Participants in every age group can sign up online, though some categories give you the option of signing up on paper (see below).
To get to the registration site, go to our website beginning June 1 and click on the center slide for Summer Reading Challenge 2023. Or go directly to https://wilbrahamlibrary.beanstack.org. (We recommend downloading the Beanstack app available wherever you find apps for your device and to sign up that way.) If you have particpated in past summer or winter reading programs here, log in using your already established account.
Children
Pre-School to entering Grade 5
To earn prizes and 10 raffle tickets in this summer's Reading Challenge, kids must read -- or be read to -- for 21 days during this summer. Sign up online or on paper in the Children’s Department. Everyone is welcome to pick up a free log page to record your reading. Adults must initial the log page. Online finishers can print out the finished challenge or take a screenshot of it. All finishers can come in starting Tuesday, Aug. 1, to pick up these prizes: a free, new paperback book; a Rice Fruit Farm ice cream cone coupon; a Texas Roadhouse kid’s meal coupon; a coloring sheet; and prizes from our treasure chest. In addition, each finisher will receive 10 raffle tickets to enter in their choice of special prizes. Raffle winners will be announced starting Aug. 22. If registering online via Beanstack, one family member's email can sign up everyone. You cannot use the same email twice. Children registering online can log their reading using the app.
